A new Facebook application that has recently developed is about to set a whole new level of breaching user privacy. The newly developed app will allow businesses to set cameras that will use facial recognition based upon facebook photos. Once patrons have been recognised, they will receive a notification on their phone with various deals or offers currently available and also the opportunity to check-in.

The new application however raises the question, how intrusive can Facebook applications get before users start to react negatively?
This has certainly got to be getting close, Facebook will now be able to retain data from all the locations you visit that these cameras are active.
Once this new application is released, it’ll be intriguing to see how users react. Whether they think it is breaching their privacy too much, or whether they take it on board and take advantage of these new deals.
