Key Points/ Commentary:

  • LinkedIn sees a rise over the month as more users come back to work from summer holidays.
  • An independent researcher has confirmed that there are about 60,000 monthly active Australian users on Google Plus, which is inline with this research. Globally the figure is around 12 million active users per month. It is clear with these numbers that the social networking aspect of G+ is only used by a very small percentage of internet users.
  • Most other social networks see small increases or decreases over the month.
